Role in issues, events and campaigns associated with the Indian Sub-Continent. There are several organisations which are playing a prominent role in the above area in UK and Europe. These include some member organisations. In recognition
of the fact that British and European Sikhs are affected by events on the
Indian Subcontinent, the Sikh Council has established the Indian Subcontinent
Affairs Committee. It was decided during the consultation phase of the Sikh
Council that the Council would remain silent on the issue of Sikh homeland and
this remains the case. The extent of the Sikh Councils involvement will be

Decision making by the Officers and Chairs of the Committees. The underlying principle of the Council is where ever possible the decisions must be taken on collective and consensus basis.
